Ajay Mishra, a 2003 batch UP cadre IPS of the Indian Police Service, has been removed from the post of Ghaziabad Commissioner and appointed Inspector General of Police (IG) of Prayagraj region. Ajay Mishra is the first IPS appointed as Commissioner when the commissioner system was implemented in Ghaziabad in November 2022. Now Agra Police Commissioner J. Ravindra Gaur has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad, who is a 2005 batch IPS officer.

Another senior IPS Neelabhja Chaudhary has been removed from the post of Additional Director General of Police of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and appointed as ADJ of CID. Mr. Chaudhary is a 2000 batch IPS officer.
SP and SSP of four districts changed:
Barabanki, Bulandshahr, Mathura and Baghpat are the four districts where new police chiefs will take charge as SP or SSP.
SP of Barabanki Dinesh Kumar Singh has been made SSP in Bulandshahr, while Shlok Kumar has been removed from the post of SSP of Bulandshahr and appointed SSP of Mathura (SSP Mathura). Both of them are IPS officers of the 2014 batch.
In Baghpat district of western Uttar Pradesh, IPS of 2018 batch, Suraj Kumar Rai has been made police chief . Till now he was posted as Sena Nayak (commandant) of 6th battalion of PAC in Meerut. Arpit Vijayvargiya, 2017 batch IPS, who was till now SP in Baghpat, has been made SP of Barabanki.
