Guard of honour was given to brave Rajpal Kasana, before his last rites, at his native village in Loni area of Western Uttar Pradesh. Rajpal Kasana , 44 years old , was Head Constable of Delhi Police’s Special cell who along with his colleague got injured while chasing a suspected gunrunner in Delhi. Being remembered about for dedication towards duty, discipline and courage, Rajpal gave up battle for survival on fifth day in Delhi’s AIIMS Trauma Centre on Saturday.
According to Delhi Police another Head Constable Mohit Panwar, also injured in this incident, however managed to admit Rajpal in hospital. They got injured after being hit by a car on Barapullah elevated road on January 14.
Incident :
According to Delhi Police Press Release around 3 PM on Jaunuary 14 information was received in Special Cell that an arms smuggler of Western UP would be coming from Gazipur border side and he would go to RK Puram via ISBT Sarai Kale Khan and Barapullah elevated road. A team was constituted including Head Constable Rajpal Kasana and others. Head Constable Rajpal Kasana and Head Constable Mohit Panwar were on their motorcycle.
Rajpal Kasana spotted the suspect in a car near Sarai Kale Khan and started chasing his car with Mohit Panwar riding his motorcycle. When they reached on the loop near Sun dial (Surya Ghadi) of Barapullah elevated road trying to keep discreet distance from the car of arms smuggler, a car hit their motorcycle from behind and driven off, leaving them sprawled on the road. Rajpal fell during the collision and injured his head while falling on the road. Mohit immediately rushed Rajpal to AIIMS Trauma Centre.

In an another brave act, KLF Chief Harminder Singh @ Mintu was arrested within 24 hours of attack upon Nabha jail in which dreaded criminals and terrorists including Harminder Singh @ Mintu were got released and weapons of jail staff were looted by the desperadoes on 26.11.2016. HC Rajpal Kasana also played key role in arrest of 17 active members of banned separatist militant organizations of KYKL, KCP, PULF etc.
According to Pramod Singh Kushwah, DCP of Special Cell, during his posting at Special Cell Rajpal played active role in busting a number of gangs of arms smuggling and recovered more than 1050 illegal sophisticated pistols and more than 6000 live cartridges.
In the year 2018, Rajpal was the main member of the team which busted International drug cartels and seized narcotics drugs worth Rs. 200 Crores. He had also played key role in the arrest of 10 rewarded gangsters last year only, having total declared reward of Rs.11 Lacs on their arrest. Rajpal played key role during many encounters, and arrest of desperate terrorists and gangsters.
