New Delhi. Troopers of 16th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Jamui, Bihar today nabbed a wanted hardcore naxalite in a joint operation with local police of Gangta Police station of distt- Munger (Bihar). The apprehension of hardcore Naxalite Babu Lal Yadav is hailed as a major success for security forces and setback to the active Naxalites.
According to Sashastra Seema Bal Press Release The arrested Naxalite was wanted in many cases including killing of 1997 batch IPS officer K.C Surendra Babu, Superintendent of Police of Munger district (Bihar) by Maoists in 2005, killing of two CRPF personnel near Gangta jungle during 2014 Loksabha Elections. Various cases under Arms Act, UAP (Unlawful Activities Prevention) Act ,CLA(Criminal Law Amendment) Act , RP(Representation of People) Act are registered against him.
According to Sashastra Seema Bal Babu Lal Yadav was wanted in following cases:
- 1. Case No-04/2005 dated- 05.01.2005 under Section 302/307/323/324/379/34 of IPC, Section 3 / 4 of Explosive Substance Act, Sec 27 of Arms Act and Sec 17 of CLA Act at Khadagpur Police Station.
- 2. Case No-342/2009 dated -09.12.2009 under Section 384 of IPC and Section 17 of CLA Act at Khadagpur Police Station.
- 3. Case No-27/2013 dated 12.02.2013 under Section -25(1- B) A, 26/35 of Arms Act at Khadagpur Police Station.
- 4. Case No- 83/2014 dated-10.04.2014 under Section-147/148/149/121(A)/122/124 /342/307/302/353 of IPC, 3 / 4/5 of Explosive Substance Act , Section 27 of Arms Act, Section 134(B) of RP Act and Section 16/17/18/20/23/35 of UAP Act at Khadagpur Police Station.
- 5. Case no- 04/2010 under Section- 147/148/149/342/323/324/326/307/332/333/337 of IPC, Section 27/35 of Arms Act and Section 17 of CLA Act at Akbarnagar Police Station (Distt-Bhagalpur).
- 6. Case No- 129/2011 under Section 25(1-B)A/26/35 of Arms Act at Amarpur Police Station (Distt-Banka).
- 7. Case No- 170/2018 dated 31.05.2018 under Section 147/148/149/341/342/435/427/364(A)/120 of IPC and Section 16/17/18/20/21 of UAP Act at Khadagpur Police Station.
