Lieutenant Colonel Devraj Dogra was also the proud father of Major General Vikram Dev Dogra of the Indian Army who set a record by completing the Ironman thrice. Vikram Dogra is the first General rank military officer in the world to set this record.
Born on 14th August 1922 Lieutenant Colonel Devraj Dogra celebrated the completion of 100 years of his life in a grand manner with his family in the year 2022. He was given a Guard of Honor by the contingent of the same Ordnance Corps in which Lt. Col. Devraj Dogra served for years. While sharing the news about his father’s demise , Maj. Gen. Vikram Dev Dogra has written – It is with great sadness that I announce the passing on of my beloved father, Lt. Col. Dev Raj Dogra, at the age of 101. He passed on peacefully in his sleep at home. His life was a testament to resilience, strength and enduring love. He was my inspiration and my hero.
