Global conference on safety, security to begin in Delhi

A two day global conclave on security, safety, fire and loss prevention will begin in Delhi on Thursday. The conclave, being organised by IISSM, assumes greater significance in the wake of growing threats to the national security from within and outside the country. The conclave, 28th episode, is being by experts on security, police and strategic affairs. In two days, participants will discuss challenges and opportunities in corporate security and property conservation programmes, social media and data privacy- opportunities and threats in a cyber environment.

Sustainable growth and development in health, hospitality and retail and security, safety,vigilance and responses in a smart city will also be issues for discussion at the three day conclave. Safety on roads will be yet another important issue for discussion. Speaking to newspersons, IISSM Executive Chairman and Rajya Sabha member R K Sinha underscored the need for such conference stating that the threat to national safety and security, should be tackled to prevent major losses.  “Terrorism is a major threat to India besides, Information war, theft of intellectual property and road safety,” said R K Sinha. Union Commerce and Industry and MoS Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the conference.
