Additional Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police IPS Vijay Kumar also took over the charge of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu on Thursday. ADGP Vijay Kumar was warmly welcomed on his arrival at the Armed Police Headquarters in Jammu.
Vijay Kumar, a 1997 batch IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre is ADG Law and Order, Shri Kumar was welcomed here by senior officers and staff members of the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police HeadQuarters, besides the Commandant of the Armed Police and India Reserve Battalions.
Till now this post was being held by IPS S.J.M Geelani. IPS S.J.M Geelani has been given the post of Additional Director General of Police (Railways). He will also have the additional charge as Managing Director of Police Housing Corporation, Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Geelani was given a warm farewell.
