If you have studied engineering and dream of becoming an Army officer, here is another opportunity to fulfill that dream. The Indian Army has issued a short notification for the Technical Graduate Course (TGC-145) scheduled for July 2027. This entry scheme is for eligible engineering graduates who wish to be commissioned as officers in the Army. Applications will open on September 30, and the deadline is October 29, 2026.
A key condition for entry into the Indian Army’s TGC-145 course is that only eligible unmarried male engineering graduates can apply. Applications can be submitted through the Indian Army’s official recruitment website.

Indian Army TGC-145 Course:
Candidates selected through the recruitment process will undergo one year of pre-commission training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. During the training period, they will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,400.
Cadets who successfully complete the training will be commissioned into the Army as Lieutenants. They will also be granted one year of ante-date seniority for the purpose of pay and promotion.
Selection Process:
The selection process for the Indian Army’s TGC-145 course comprises application submission, shortlisting, a Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, and a medical examination.
Selected cadets may be commissioned into the Corps of Engineers, Corps of Signals, or the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. Depending on the Indian Army’s requirements, candidates may also be commissioned into other branches or services.
Educational Qualification:
Applicants holding a Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), or Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science in the notified engineering streams are eligible.
Students currently in the final year of their engineering course may also apply, even if they have not yet completed their final degree examinations. However, they must provide proof of passing the engineering degree examination along with marksheets for all semesters or years completed to date.
