Assistant Commandant Divesh unfurled SSB flag deep inside the Arabian sea.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) celebrated its 55th Raising day in unique way. On one hand the SSB organised a function at the Sashastra Seema Bal headquarter in Delhi’s Ghironi on Tuesday, a diving team led by Assistant Commandant Divesh unfurled the Sashastra Seema Bal flag at the bottom of Arabian Sea off the Porbandar coast.

On the occasion of raising day of Sashastra Seema Bal, Assistant Commandant Divesh dived to 170 ( approx) deep inside the Arabian Sea to unfurl the Sashastra Seema Bal flag. These pictures were taken on Wednesday afternoon where professional swimmer Assistant Commandant Divesh can be seen holding the flag in his hands to unfurl. He was accompanied by his team and other officials.

Who is Divesh?

Divesh has worked with Indian Coast Guard prior to SSB. He is currently posted at Aqua marine training institute in Porbandar.

What is AMTI?

The AMTI gives training to personnel from different para military forces. The institute runs several courses in water sports. The institute is associated with Gandhi nagar based Swarnim Gujarat Sports University.
