Kangana Ranaut slapped by CISF security personnel

Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut was slapped and ‘abused’  by a female constable of Central Industrial Security Force, Kulwinder Kaur, at Chandigarh airport. Kangana, who won the election from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency of Himachal Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket, has herself revealed this in a video. An FIR has also been registered in this case. Kulwinder Kaur has been suspended and a CISF committee will also investigate the matter.

The incident related to Padma Shri Kangana Ranaut, who has been embroiled in controversies many times for her statements, happened at Chandigarh airport when she reached there to catch a flight to Delhi. Kangana says that she was undergoing security check at that time. Referring to this incident ,in a video released on her X handle , Kangana Ranaut has linked it to terrorism and extremism in Punjab. However, in the video, she has also said that the female security personnel was a supporter of the farmers’ movement.

Constable Kulwinder Kaur’s mother was sitting on a dharna during the farmers’ movement. She was probably hurt by the controversial statement given by Kangana at that time. Actually, Kangana Ranaut had said in one of her statements that the farmers who gathered and sat on dharna during the farmers’ movement were getting  Rs 100 each for joining movement.

What prompted Kulwinder to react and  behave like this with Kangana at the airport on Thursday is not clear. Although a video of the airport after the incident has surfaced in which Kulwinder can be heard talking about her mother’s involvement in the farmers’ movement. She is also reffering the comment made by Kangana about farmers’ movement.
