LV Antony Dev Kumar, an officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), has been promoted to the rank of Director General. Dev Kumar belongs to the 1994 batch of the Uttarakhand cadre but he is currently posted with the Uttar Pradesh Police. Until now, LV Antony Dev Kumar served in the capacity of Additional Director General (Rules and Manuals) within the UP Police.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has approved the promotion of IPS LV Antony Dev Kumar. According to a notification issued by the Home Department of the Uttar Pradesh government, Mr. Dev Kumar’s promotion will be deemed effective from March 1st. Furthermore, separate orders regarding his new posting will be issued subsequently.

IPS LV Antony Dev Kumar is a native of Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. According to his date of birth (May 28, 1966), his retirement is scheduled to take place in the upcoming month of May.
