Winners of Police Cup at Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon
Delhi Police Academy team clinched the Police Cup and cash prize of Rs. 45000 in Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon organised  at  Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi today. The event witnessed 45,000 enthusiastic runners from across the World. Apart from Delhi Police Academy, more than 300 Delhi Police personnel participated in the athletic event.
There was a significant presence of the Delhi Police Academy running club in the event. A commendable contingent of 40 members, including 30 trainees, led by its Director and  IPS officer Vijay Singh competed not only for glory but also for the coveted Police Cup.
In the men’s category, the DPA team comprising Inspector Sanjay Panghal, Head Constable  Subhash and Probationer Sub Inspector Digamber displayed their unwavering dedication and clinched the Police Cup along with a prestigious Gold medal.
The women from the Delhi Police Academy running club showcased their prowess as well. The team, consisting of Women Recruit Constables Kalpana, Rajnandini and Tshering Dolkar, secured the Bronze medal in the Police Cup. Their accomplishment was further rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 15,000.

According to a press release the participation was not limited to the Delhi Police Academy alone, as more than 115 teams, encompassing a staggering 345 runners from various units and districts of Delhi Police, came forward to compete in the Police Cup, further enriching the event with their energy and enthusiasm.
