Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi met the soldiers, their family members and Veer Naris honored with gallantry awards during the Defence Investiture Ceremony – 2025 (Phase-1). This program was organized today at the Manekshaw Center in New Delhi. General Dwivedi was accompanied by his wife Sunita Dwivedi, who is also the president of Army Women Welfare Association (AWWA).

In the ceremony ,  organized a day after the gallantry awards were presented at Rashtrapati Bhavan on May 22,  military officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO) and other ranks  who displayed selfless service and courage towards the nation were honored.

” Chief of Army Staff General Dwivedi  commended the awardees as shining examples of bravery and noted that their inspiring stories of valour will continue to motivate future generations,” Indian Army said in a post on its official ‘ X ‘ handle.
