Amidst the devastation caused by floods in Jammu – Kashmir and Punjab along with disasters like cloudburst, landslides in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, there are some pictures which give hope and bring a smile. These pictures are from the Balle Da Bagh area of Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir.
When the Chenab river was in spate in Akhnoor, the flood water had increased and fear had spread all around. In such a situation, the soldiers of the Indian Army moved forward and saved an entire community .
The soldiers had newborns in their arms. Old people were on their shoulders. The soldiers were hugging their families while marching forward through mud and fast currents.
The soldiers in uniform are the protectors of the country’s borders. They become the saviors of every life in times of crisis.These pictures are to salute the spirit of every soldier who puts service before self.
