CRPF officers met injured jawans of ITBP in Manipur.

Senior officers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF Manipur and Nagaland sector) met ITBP Jawans Gaurav and Girija Shankar who were injured due in a IED blast in Manipur. This unfortunate incident took place at Wangoo Tera Awang Leikai in Kakching district of Manipur during the evening on 20th February while jawans were returning from patrolling duty.

IPS officer Manish Kumar Agrawal ( IG of CRPF’s Manipur & Nagaland Sector ) along with DIG (operations) Pravat Kumar Nayak, DIG (Range) and R.S. Rautela, DIG(Range) met the ITBP Jawans in hospital. Officers praised the act of bravery and assured jawans of all support.

CRPF in a statement said that the Assembly elections in Manipur state shall be conducted as per the ECI norms and safety of voters shall be the prime responsibility for security forces in ensuring free and fair polls.
