Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar gets new CPs, 31 IPS transferred in Punjab

In a major reshuffle in Punjab Police administration , the state government has transferred 31 IPS offices including 3 police commissioners and many Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs). Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Inspector General of Ropar range has been posted as Police Commissioner in Amritsar in place of Naunihal Singh.

According to the order issued by the Department of Home Affairs and Justice of Punjab , Mandeep Singh Sidhu, the  Commissioner of Police in Ludhiana, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General (Administration, Punjab)  Chandigarh, in the place of  IPS officer Dr.S Bhoopati.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh has been transferred and posted as CP in  Ludhiana . He replaced IPS Mandeep Sidhu. Spawan Sharma will be the new police commissioner of Jalandhar.  Commissioner of Police in Amritsar,  Naunihal Singh has been ordered to report to DGP , Punjab.

 SSPs transferred :

Seven Senior Superintendent of Police (SSPs) have also been transferred. Suba Singh (SSP, EOW Vigilance)has been transferred as  AIG, PAP in Jalandhar, SSP of Malertkotla Gursharandeep Singh has been transferred at the post of Commandant of  36th Battalion of  PAP in Bahadurgarh, Patiala.

Pathankot SSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khak as SSP Malerkotla inplace of Gursharandeep Singh Grewal,

Sartaj Singh Chahal (SSP Hoshiarpur) is now SSP Sangrur in place of Surendra Lamba whereas Surendra Lamba as SSP, Hoshiarpur.

SSP of  Bathinda Gulneet Singh Khurana has been sent to Ropar in place of Vivek Sheel Soni and  Vivek Sheel Soni has been posted as SSP of  Moga District  in place of J. Elanchezhian. J. Elanchezhian is transferred as AIG, CounterIntelligence at SAS Nagar.
