CRPF and Telangana police caught Divisional Commander of Maoist group

Successful joint operation by CRPF and Telangana police.

Troops of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Telangana police, in a joint operation, nabbed a dreaded Maoist Sangapongu Muthaiah @Pullanna along with his aid Nallamari Ashok from a village of district Mahabubabad.

According to CRPF spokesperson their was specific information, with the  Circle Inspector of  Gudur Police Station in Mahabubabad district about the presence of important CPI(M.L) New Democracy (splinter group of Maoist party) at Pedda Ellapuram village, which falls under the Gangaram Police Station limits.

Immediately joint parties consisting of Troops of A company of 39 Battalion of CRPF along with Telengana police conducted CASO operation at Peddaellapuram Village in the morning of  30 August 2018. During search, joint party apprehended CPI (ML) New Democracy Divisional commander  Sangapongu Muthaiah @Pullanna (45 years) along with his gun man Nallamari Ashok (25 years) said the press release. One 9 mm carbine, one 9 mm pistol, one carbine magazine, 20 rounds of 9 mm ammunition were recovered from them.
